Hoo-Koo-E-Koo

Tina in today's rain, hiking the Hoo-Koo-E-Koo Trail on the east side of Mount Tamalpais.

This Poem Is a Trail

A trail

stitches
what

we know
to what

we don’t.

It takes

us
below

that tree
above

that rock
along

that ledge
over

the ridge
out

of sight.

That jay
hiding

a seed
that cloud
like

a wish
that flower.

We

shoulder
guesses

stay

steady
keep

traveling.
